ABOUT THE JOURNAL

It is with great pleasure that i introduce sol21 – a scientific journal dedicated to disseminating information, promoting knowledge, and encouraging sharing among those who strongly believe in the transformative power of education for society and its individuals. As a scientific publication, sol21 aims to be a reliable refuge for researchers and scholars to present their work, making it democratically accessible to all. Sharing information and knowledge is a way to contribute to a world with a broader understanding of the countless variables that shape our reality, recognizing that we live in a fluid society where empathy makes us more human.

This journal is the result of the vision of university professors who sought to establish a platform reflecting the excellence of scientific works, supported by an editorial and scientific board that matches the quality of the submissions. It is an independent initiative, managed by its editors-in-chief and supported by the editorial and scientific councils, all aligned with sol21’s mission and regulations. It emerged with the purpose of consolidating itself as a reference in electronic scientific publications starting in 2025.

With an interdisciplinary focus, sol21 adopts a monthly continuous publication model. Its scope is to promote social, political, and economic development through the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge in various fields.

We reaffirm the journal’s commitment to data privacy and protection, with a data protection officer (d.p.o) registered under no. 417416.20760564, in accordance with law 13.709/2018, art. 41 – brazilian general data protection law (lgpd).

The peer review process is conducted through the double-blind method, where each manuscript is evaluated by two external reviewers, members of the journal's editorial board, selected based on their field of expertise. After submission, the article is evaluated, corrections are suggested when necessary, and the editor makes the final decision, always following the reviewers' opinions. The final version is resubmitted with a similarity report, ensuring scientific integrity.

This journal offers immediate open access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available promotes greater global democratization of knowledge.

Sol21 strictly adheres to ethical editorial practices and follows the guidelines of cope – committee on publication ethics. It does not accept any form of unethical behavior, including plagiarism, and requires research involving human subjects to present ethics committee approval (cep) at submission.
